Out of Control is a multi-venue Preview Exhibition of the 2023 Eastside Art Crawl. Pendulum Gallery is pleased to participate as one of the four cross-city locations for this salon-style curated exhibition, giving a downtown presence for this popular East Side open-studio event.

This year’s multi-venue preview exhibition is informed by the idea of being Out of Control; exploring the notion of breaking rules, being reckless, wild, and unrestricted. At a time when we are all emerging from pandemic restrictions, it's an opportunity to reclaim experiences that were suspended worldwide and a chance to think outside the box and let go. Featured in the exhibition will be 80 Eastside Arts District visual artists, selected by 2023 Jurists Paul de Guzman, Eri Ishli and Hugh Kearney.

More than 450 artists will open their doors and welcome tens of thousands of visitors for the 27th annual Eastside Culture Crawl Visual Arts, Design & Craft Festival, held November 16-19 across the Vancouver’s Eastside Arts District. With a multitude of artistic offerings on display, the festival offers a full slate of events and activities, including a multi-gallery, juried preview exhibition, artist talks, demos and workshops, and open studio visits.
